Tabby drew the "Get out of school early" card in the Monopoly game of life. I got a call from Steve on the school phone right after recess. He NEVER calls on the school phone. He says something about "broke", "Tabby cut eye", and "stitches". Of course I imagine the worst. Has her eye fallen out? Is she crying in the health office wanting her mommy? About an hour later (yes it took an hour) I arrived at her school. There she was with her eye bandaged eating popsicles with the health clerk. No tear, No "Mommy!", no nothing. Just a cut near her eye. Apparently at recess, she and her friends were sitting on the grass when a classmate ran by. His knee made direct contact with Tabby's eye, knocking her glasses into her face. The fold at the temple is what cut her. I took her to urgent care where the doctor proceeded to glue the cut shut instead of stitching it closed. She said that the stitches would leave "hole" marks in her young skin. Our friend Karen recently had a surgery incision closed with glue so we were familiar with how it worked. After that we went to lunch and got her glasses fixed. She is a bit sore but is doing well. That card should be placed at the BOTTOM of the deck. I really don't like calls like that.

Poor Tabby! :( You are too funny, I would have imagined the worst too! I didn't know you could glue incisions rather than do stitches, sounds way better than "hole" scars by her eye! What a day!
She is a cat with nine lives! When I think of all the things she has gone through (hit w/ baseball bat, drowning, etc...).
Tabby is a tough cookie!! Love you bunches, Tab
